The driver's direct digital link to central operations, improving communication, discipline and visibility across the fleet.
TAP Driver Console Application provides drivers with a dedicated digital interface for the information required during daily transport operations. From sign-on at the start of duty to status reporting in service, it is the driver’s direct link to the operator’s central operations environment.
The console delivers vehicle, duty, route and trip information to the cab, and returns operational status and communication from the vehicle to the control room, strengthening communication, operational discipline and visibility across the fleet.
Overview
The driver's direct digital link to central operations.
In modern bus operations, the driver console is the point where planned service meets the road. Drivers sign on to the console, receive their vehicle and duty assignment, and work from the route and trip information prepared by the operator’s scheduling and operations teams.
As service runs, the console carries operational status updates and communication back to the control room, while service-related notifications reach the driver in the cab.
The result is a consistent, structured exchange of information between every vehicle in service and the central operations environment.
Information Exchange
Two-Way Communication Between Cab and Control Room
The console carries operational information in both directions, so drivers have what they need on duty and central operations has a current view of every vehicle in service.

Information the driver needs to operate the assigned service.
- Vehicle and duty information
- Route and trip information
- Service-related notifications
To Central Operations
Verified identity, current status and direct communication.
- Driver authentication at sign-on
- Operational status updates
- Communication with central operations
Duty Cycle
Supporting the Driver Through the Operating Day

Key Capabilities
Six Core Capabilities
Select a capability to see how it supports the driver and central operations.
01Driver Authentication
Each driver signs on to the console before duty. Authentication confirms who is operating each vehicle, so every status update and message is attributed to an identified driver.
02Vehicle & Duty Information
The driver's assigned vehicle and duty are presented in the cab, giving a clear, consistent start to each period of service.
03Route & Trip Information
Route and trip information for the assigned service is available to the driver throughout the duty, supporting adherence to the planned service.
04Operational Status Updates
Drivers report operational status from the vehicle, giving central operations a current view of service as it runs.
05Service-Related Notifications
Notifications from central operations reach the driver in the cab, keeping drivers informed of service changes and instructions.
06Communication with Central Operations
A direct, two-way digital channel between the driver and the control room supports clear, structured communication across the fleet.
Stronger Operations From the Cab Outward
Communication
Drivers and central operations exchange information and notifications through one dedicated digital channel.
Operational Discipline
Authenticated drivers work from defined duty, route and trip information, supporting consistent service delivery.
Visibility
Operational status from every vehicle reaches the central operations environment as service runs.
