TAP has served public authorities and institutions across Pakistan. The systems we deliver are used by citizens of every age and background, many of whom rely on them every day to reach work, school, hospitals and markets. That gives our work a direct social dimension, and a responsibility to get it right for everyone who uses it.
The same responsibility applies inside the company. Our engineers, technicians, installers and operations and maintenance (O&M) staff carry out demanding work in stations, roadsides, data centers and construction sites, and their safety and development come first.
Our projects also reach well beyond our own payroll. They create work for subcontractors and local suppliers, bring new technical skills into the national workforce, and support the communities around the sites where we build.
This chapter sets out how TAP meets those responsibilities: to the people who work with us, to the passengers and citizens who use what we deliver, and to the communities we operate in.
TAP’s capability is held in its people: the engineers who design systems, the technicians who install and maintain them, and the specialists in procurement, finance and administration who keep every project on course. We aim to be a company where skilled people want to build long careers.
Clear contracts, defined roles, timely and accurate payroll, and terms of employment that meet or exceed the requirements of Pakistani labor law.
Employment termsHiring, promotion and reward decided on skill and performance, with equal consideration for every candidate regardless of gender, background or region.
Recruitment & promotionWe encourage women to build careers in engineering, project management and operations, and support them with a respectful, professional working environment.
DiversityReasonable working hours, planned shift rotations on operations contracts, and leave policies that respect the demands of field and site work.
Working conditionsEvery employee can raise concerns with management directly and confidentially, without fear of retaliation, and every concern raised is followed up.
Grievance handlingStrong performance on projects, in the field and in support functions is recognized and taken into account in career progression.
PerformanceOur teams work at height, near live traffic, with electrical systems and on active construction sites. Every one of these environments carries risk, and every one is managed under TAP’s health, safety and environment (HSE) procedures through planning, training, equipment and supervision before work begins.
Every installation, maintenance and construction activity is preceded by a job safety analysis (JSA) and documented risk assessment that sets out the controls required.
Field and site staff are issued personal protective equipment (PPE) suited to the task, including helmets, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear, harnesses and electrical protection, and its use is mandatory.
Work on live electrical systems, at height or in confined spaces is carried out under a permit-to-work (PTW), with lockout/tagout (LOTO) isolation and a competent supervisor present.
Roadside and station works are planned under a traffic management plan (TMP) with barriers and signage that protect both our workers and the passengers and road users around them.
Every new team member receives an HSE induction, and daily toolbox talks on site cover the specific hazards of the work planned for that day.
Incidents and near misses are reported, investigated through root cause analysis (RCA) and used to improve procedures, so each lesson is shared across every team and every project.
TAP’s field and O&M teams work across sites, offices and public spaces, supported by structured training and clear HSE procedures.
Much of what TAP delivers is built on international technology and engineering practice. Each project is an opportunity to transfer that knowledge to Pakistani engineers and technicians, so the country builds the capability to deliver and maintain advanced infrastructure on its own.
We support our people along a defined path, from the day they join to the point where they lead and train others.
Graduates, diploma holders and experienced professionals selected on aptitude and potential.
A structured introduction to TAP's standards, safety rules and ways of working.
Hands-on technical training on the equipment and methods each role works with.
Formal qualifications from original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and professional bodies.
Growth into senior technical, supervisory and project management roles.
Experienced staff pass their knowledge on to the next generation of TAP engineers.
The value of public infrastructure is measured by how many people it actually serves. We plan and deliver our work with the full range of users in mind, including the elderly, persons with disabilities (PWD), women and first-time users.
Client requirements and user needs are captured at the start of every engagement.
Accessible layouts, clear bilingual Urdu and English information, and equipment placed for all users.
Works planned to keep public spaces safe and services running during installation.
Responsive support and maintenance under agreed service level agreements (SLA).
More people able to reach work, education, healthcare and services with confidence and dignity.
Our approach to sustainability rests on three commitments. Each describes how one of them is put into practice across the company.
Cleaner mobility, efficient systems, responsible construction and careful use of resources.
Safe workplaces, local employment, skills development and wider access to public services.
Regulatory compliance, transparent reporting and clear policies on ethics and quality.
