Security, maps and infrastructure that work as one. TAP designs, builds and maintains the systems smart city programmes depend on.
A city produces more security and location information than any single department can read. Most of that information does not reach the people who must act on it.
The consequences are measured in response time and in public money. An incident is seen on one screen while the gate that could stop it is controlled from another. Cameras are placed where a pole is convenient rather than where coverage is needed. Trenches cut through utilities that were never mapped. Systems are installed, handed over without records, and go dark within a year. Every one of these losses originates in a single condition: security, spatial and construction information held in separate systems that never reconcile.

TAP works on public infrastructure that is used every day. On the Islamabad Metro Bus, delivered for the Capital Development Authority, TAP is responsible for the procurement, supply, integration and operations support of the intelligent transportation systems, including the operations control centre.
Design, procurement, civil works, installation and support are handled under one contract. Our teams survey the site, prepare the design and specifications, manage the civil and electrical works, and install, configure and test every system. On completion we hand over as-built drawings, test reports, asset registers, warranties and operating manuals, and we train the staff who will run the system.
TAP is independent of any single manufacturer. Equipment is chosen for each project against the specification, the site and the budget, and sourced through authorized distribution channels from a supplier base of classified companies. Every unit we supply is new and documented for warranty and audit. Where cameras, access systems or GIS licences are already in service, we integrate them through open standards rather than replace them.
What We Deliver
One Record Across the City
Four pillars share the same map, the same platform and the same records, so what is planned, built, watched and protected is always the same city.
Geographic Information
The city is surveyed and held as one map. Every camera, gate, pole and cable has a location before it is installed and after.
- Topographic, GPS and drone surveys to design-grade accuracy
- Base maps from current satellite and aerial imagery
- Utility networks mapped before any trench is opened
- Asset registers with location, make and condition
- Web and mobile GIS for planners, engineers and the control room
Planning & Construction
Designs are drawn on the map and built to it. What is installed on site is what the approved design shows.
- Coverage and device layouts planned on the city map
- Specifications and BOQs produced from the same design
- Foundations, poles, gantries and cabinet plinths
- Trenching, ducting and fibre with permits in hand
- Power, UPS, solar backup and earthing at every site
Security & Surveillance
Every camera records to one system. Operators see live video, alerts and number plates from a single desk.
- Fixed, PTZ, panoramic and thermal cameras
- Central video management with role-based access
- Analytics for intrusion, crowding and abandoned objects
- Number-plate recognition at entries and key roads
- Evidence export with a complete chain of custody
Integrated Security
Access, perimeter, screening and alarms act as one. An alarm opens the right camera and the right procedure.
- Card, PIN and biometric access for doors and gates
- Barriers, bollards and road blockers at vehicle points
- Fence sensors and beams that trigger camera pop-ups
- Metal detectors, baggage X-ray and under-vehicle scanning
- One platform that links every alarm to a written response
One Integrated System
A smart city programme brings together equipment and software from many manufacturers, installed by many teams across a wide area. TAP’s role is to make these parts operate as one system. We define the architecture at the start of the project, specify how each component connects to the others, and test every connection before the system is handed over.
Every TAP system is built around a central command and control centre. Information from field equipment is carried over a secure communication network to a data centre, processed on a common platform and presented to operators in the control room, to managers through dashboards and reports, and to field staff and citizens through web and mobile applications.
We integrate through open standards and documented interfaces. Systems a client already owns are connected to the new platform rather than replaced, and new systems can be added in later phases without rebuilding what is already in service.
Service levels
Operations and Maintenance
TAP remains responsible for the systems it delivers after handover. Maintenance is provided under agreed service levels that define preventive maintenance schedules, fault response and resolution times, and the reporting the client will receive.
Faults are logged, tracked and closed on record. Spare parts are held against the installed base so that failed equipment can be replaced without waiting for import, and warranty claims are managed with the manufacturer on the client’s behalf. Performance is reported to the client at agreed intervals, and upgrades and expansion are planned with the client as the programme grows.
THE TAP WAY
Why Work With TAP
Assess and plan
We work with the authority to define what the city needs: the areas to be secured, the services to be connected and the outcomes to be measured. We agree priorities with each department and set out a phased programme with scope, budget and timeline.
Design the system
We design security, surveillance, GIS and communication systems as one architecture, built on open standards and linked to a central command and control centre. Specifications and tender documents are prepared from this design.
Procure and build
We source equipment through authorized channels, carry out the civil and power works, and install, integrate and test every system. The city receives a working system with as-built records and trained operators.
Operate and improve
We maintain the system under agreed service levels, report performance against the programme's targets, and plan upgrades and new phases as the city grows. A fault means one call to TAP.
Reference standards
Standards and Interoperability
TAP designs smart city systems with reference to recognized international standards, so that each system can be extended, maintained and connected to others throughout its life. Open standards allow equipment from different manufacturers to work together and protect the client from dependence on any single vendor.
Programme planning and performance measurement follow the international smart city frameworks, information security is designed around the controls of ISO/IEC 27001 and IEC 62443, and every system is delivered with documented interfaces and open data formats.
